I want to become an instructor because my mom had an incident happen to her that truly opened my eyes to the importance of being prepared for the unknown. She was working and had a customer who was choking so she did the Heimlich Maneuver and was able to dislodge the food. Had she not known how to do this, the incident could have ended much worse. Therefore, even though it may not be super common for incidences like this to happen, the one time it does, and someone knows lifesaving techniques, there is a much higher chance the situation will end in the best way possible.
