Description

To build on basic swimming and safety skills, to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to avoid and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide participants with basic information about boating and personal watercraft safety and safety in natural water environments

Requisites

  • Participants must be able to: 

    • Jump into deep water from the side.

    • Recover to the surface. Maintain position by treading or floating for 1 minute.

    • Rotate one complete turn, then turn as necessary to orient to the exit point and level off.

    • Swim front crawl and/or elementary backstroke for 25 yards. Exit the water.
