Ask-Advise-Refer: Pharmacy Technicians Needs - Advance the pharmacy technician’s role in helping patients quit smoking by asking about tobacco use, advising patients to quit, and referring patients who are interested in quitting to the pharmacist and/or the tobacco quitline for assistance. Audience - This activity is designed for pharmacy technicians only. Learning Objectives - At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to: 1. Describe the health risks associated with chronic tobacco use. 2. List the FDA-approved medications for quitting smoking. 3.
